Society News:
~ 4.19.06 ~ New members of Phi Alpha Theta were
inducted today. For the details (those that we can disclose) keep your eyes
open for the next issue of the Gazette! A picture is posted on the new pictures page.
~ 3.30.06 ~ The Weekend of History was a huge hit! For
those of you who didn’t get to attend, check out the March 30 issue of
the Grotto Gazette for a recap!
~ 1.30.06 ~ The first electronic issue of the Grotto
Gazette should be in your inbox! If you didn’t receive a copy, please contact
any officer of the society or one of the History professors and make sure
your name is on the mailing list.
~ 9.20.05 ~ The first issue of the Grotto Gazette is
now in print and online. You will find copies in
your campus mailboxes during this week. We are in the process of moving to an
electronic newsletter, so if you have any suggestions, please email the Editor.
~ 9.15.05 ~ The new website is up and running, but as
you can see it is still very much under construction. If you have any
suggestions at all contact the Webmaster, as she continues to
develop the site. It's here to serve you, so please make your needs
known!
~ 8.29.05 ~ Welcome back! Our first meeting of the new
year should be scheduled within the next week. Keep an eye on your email from
the officers and please try to be there to discuss upcoming events and plans
as well as some important announcements.

Upcoming Events
~ 4.29.06 ~ The Department’s annual Spring Picnic will
be at Dr. Miller’s house (429 High Street) at 5:00. The campfire will be lit
at dusk, and much merriment will ensue!
~ Ongoing ~ The History Department is involved in a
campus-wide reevaluation of the curriculum and the major requirements. If you
have any suggestions, contact one of the professors.
